Have a tarted up 108. Now that I look at it, it’s the three door whereas they’re usually five doors which have the cheap feature of rear side windows which are hinged and don’t roll down.
Like the 107 that preceded it, the 108 is essentially the same car as the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo. All are made in the same factory in the Czech Republic and all are basically Toyota designs, although you won’t hear that from PSA. You get a choice of 1.0 or 1.2 petrol triples with not a turbo in sight and a choice of manual or automated manual boxes, each with five gears. But not the Toyota, that’s a 1.0 only.
I’ve driven a 107 and I guess the 108 is much the same. Small, a little noisy at speed, fine if you want a cheap economical car but most people prefer go up one size to a 208 or equivalent.

Too bad we don’t get them over here :(
They seem to be the best Citroens/Pugs ever made

The 107 is a pretty good car if you do city driving, but it is underpowered like hell. I used to go uphill multiple times in one and even in 1st, you mash the pedal and it still struggles.. If only these econoboxes had at least 100 horsepower, then they would be much better, considering the fact that their engines aren’t more economical than that of a Fiesta or a Golf..

I did a considerable amount of autoroute driving in a 107 with the automated box. A bit noisy at more than about 120 kmh and tinny feeling but it went well enough

Not really. Both brands have made beter cars. The pug/cit/toyo triplets are average and aren’t without their faults.
